Visual Studio 6.0's compiler links against this library, so if you are developing in VS 6.0 you shouldn't encounter any problems on most users' machines. These include string manipulation, memory allocation, C-style input/output calls, etc. This library provides a typical set of library functions required by C and C++ programs. December 21, 2022: Added the minimum required version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for each Uniface version.The only version of the C runtime library which is shipped by Microsoft with most of 32 bit Windows versions is msvcrt.dll.December 12, 2022: Updated text to included latest Visual Studio versions.It therefore does not matter in case a newer version then the minimum required version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is installed in order to run Uniface 9.7.05, 10.3, or 10.4. This is not a problem per-se since Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 are binary compatible (see C++ binary compatibility between Visual Studio versions). Also, when the Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017, 2019, or 2022 is installed on a machine where the Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 is already installed then the later will be replaced. In case Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017, 2019 or 2022 is already installed then it's not possible to install the Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015. The version 10.3.03 and 10.4.01 require at least Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019, and version 10.4.02 at least Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2022.
